Sony Xperia Z5 Premium vs Samsung Galaxy Note 5: Which One's For You? Price, Specs & Features Review
Now that Sony has announced its Sony Xperia Premium, people could not help but compare it to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, a phablet also recently released by the Korean company.
If these two will be placed versus each other, which will be a better choice for users. Let's find out with a comparison below.
Display
Forbes said the Sony Xperia Premium is the first smartphone with 4K display which delivers a "bright, sharp and fantastic" quality for its 5.5-inch screen.
"See every detail with more pixels per inch. That's around 10x the pixels of a Full HD TV, and more than double for most smartphones," read the Z5 Premium's description on the Sony Mobile website.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is equipped with a Quad HD AMOLED screen which has "bright and crisp" quality as per TechnoBuffalo.
Camera
According to CNET, the Z5 Premium is equipped with a powerful 23-megapixel main camera while the Samsung device has a 16MP rear camera.
Processor and battery
Engadget reported that the newest Xperia release powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and a battery which can last for two days.
"Watch more films, listen to more music, carry on chatting and stay out without a care. When you do need topping up, Xperia Z5 Premium can be used together with our Quick Charger for hours of power in just 10 minutes," added Sony Mobile.
Meanwhile, TechnoBuffalo said the Note 5 runs on an Octa-core Exynos 7420 chipset.O
Other features
Sony blog the Z5 Premium will have an integrated fingerprint sensor power button "intuitive unlock."
"[The] sensor power button means each device is personal, protected and easily unlockable with a simple pick up and press in one natural movement," added the Sony blog.
The phone is also waterproof and dustproof.
For the Samsung Note 5, the device is said to be a great improvement from the previous release in terms of design and performance.
In a review, Sydney Morning Herald explained that the fable felt "solid and very very light."
For its performance, the same report said the applications and tasks in the phone were also fast improving the users' Android experience.
"They say the cameras -- a 16MP f1.9 rear; 5MP f.19 front -- open in 0.7 seconds, which seems about right. It certainly opened the camera faster than my iPhone 6 did," the review added.
Other features included in the Note 5 are the SideSync productivity tool and refined S Pen capabilities.
Price
There is still no definite price for the devices, but The BitBag noted that the Z5 could start selling at around $400.
Made available in retail stores last August 21, the Note 5 had a starting price of $739.99 for the 32GB variant.
