Ronda Rousey Says Yes to Marine Corps Ball Invitation: 'I Would Go For Sure'

It's a date!

UFC female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has accepted the invitation of a Marine officer to go to the Marine Corps Ball with him in December.

Rousey told TMZ that she would want to go to the event with officer Jarrod Haschert adding that the Marine is "cute."

"I would go, for sure. But do I call him, do I set up a time and a place like 'Never Been Kissed' and just show up there?" Rousey said.

In a video posted on his Facebook account, Haschert introduced himself as a Marine stationed in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

He went on saying that the MMA fighter is his celebrity crush and that he would love to take him to the Marine Corps Ball if only she will say yes.

"You are my celebrity crush, like, I love everything you do and I think that you are a phenomenal person, which is why it would be my honor to take you to the Marine Corps Ball on December 11th. I really hope this doesn't get in the way of your training ... but I hope you take this into consideration, because if you do, you will truly be making my dream come true," the Marine officer said on his uploaded video which has been viewed more than 5 million times.

Harschert personally appealed to the public to help him cascade his message to Rousey.

"Hey guys, I'm trying to take Ronda Rousey to the Marine Corps Ball this year and I need your help to reach out to her and her fans. Please share this post and video. Thank you!!" he wrote on Facebook along with his video post.

In response, Rousey said she already saw the video "the other day."

"I saw screenshots of it before and I was like, 'Oh, I can't go anyway because I'm in camp,' but the fight got moved and I actually can go, but I don't know how to hit him up and say like, 'Yeah, I wanna go with you,'" Rousey told TMZ.

Yahoo Sports said Rousey was earlier scheduled to fight Holly Holm come January, but this was moved to November giving her the time to make it to the event without thinking about skipping training.

The female MMA fighter, however, said Haschert should also find dates for some of her friends so they can all go to the ball.

"He's gotta be a gentleman [though], I'm not a first-date kind of a girl," Rousey warned.

In a separate interview with TMZ, the Marine officer jokingly said that he attributes his viral video to his looks.

"I just posted it and when I checked it a couple days later, it had around a million views and it shocked me, I was in complete awe," he added.

He also promised to not make any moves and be a complete gentleman, just like what is taught in the Marines. Let's see!
