Mariah Carey 'All I Want for Christmas is You' Children's Picture Book Hits Shelves in November
Mariah Carey will release a children's picture book based on her hit song "All I Want for Christmas is You."
The book, which is set to showcase the complete lyrics of the songstress' popular track, will tell the story of a little girl whose biggest Christmas wish is to get a puppy, PEOPLE reported.
"When I wrote 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' it was my dream for it to become a classic Christmas song," Carey told PEOPLE in a statement. "I am so proud of the song's impact as it continues to create memories for fans each year."
The singer continued, "I am thrilled to be able to bring the story of the song to new generations of families with the picture book."
The children's book will hit shelves on Nov. 10, the news outlet noted. Carey's track sold over 14 million copies when it was released in 1994.
Aside from the picture book, the 45-year-old recording artist announced in July that she is set to make her directorial debut in Hallmark Channel's "Mariah Carey's Christmas Project."
According to a separate report from PEOPLE, shooting for the holiday movie will kick off in October in time for a December screening. The film, which Carey also stars in, is a part of the network's Countdown to Christmas.
Carey previously starred in films such as 2009's "Precious" and 2013's "The Butler," Variety wrote.
Mariah Carey Denies Pregnancy Rumors
An Aussie tabloid claimed that Carey is carrying the child of her new boyfriend, billionaire James Packer. It seems like there is something special going on between the two, given how Carey gave a sweet shoutout to Packer in a recent concert at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
However, the artist's reps recently told E! News that there is no truth to the pregnancy rumors swirling around.
Carey is already mom to Moroccan and Monroe, her 4-year-old twins with ex Nick Cannon, E! News noted. In an interview on "Watch What Happens Live" back in 2013, she admitted that the pregnancy was not easy and it stopped her from having more children.
According to Carey, she does not want to go through "the enormity and the magnitude of what [pregnancy] really does to your body," she told ABC's "20/20" in 2011.
She further explained, "Carrying two babies. Unless somebody's been through it, it's difficult to understand what I went through, because my pregnancy was very unique in terms of what happened to me. I had serious back problems . . . I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to walk properly again. It was a huge strain."
