Sweet Million Winning Numbers & Results: December 19, 2013 Drawing

The winning numbers for the Dec. 16 New York Sweet Million drawing were 8, 10, 15, 22, 32, and 37. The next drawing will occur Thursday, Dec. 19. 

To play Sweet Million, buy a Sweet Million playcard and choose six numbers or ask for a Quick Pick to choose six numbers from 1-40. Play up to 10 games on a single playcard, or play up to eight drawings in advance on one ticket. 

Participants can play every day on drawing nights until 9:00 p.m. Drawings are held every Thursday and Monday at 9:30 p.m. Winning numbers are selected randomly from a field of 40 under the observation of an independent auditing firm. Go to the New York Lottery site to see which stations in each area air the live drawings. 

The play cards cost $1 each, and the chances of winning $1 million are 1 in 3,838,380, and the chances of winning $500 are 1 in 18,815.59. The overall odds of winning are 1 in 29.92. 

Matching six out of six numbers yields a $1 million cash prize, and five out of six numbers wins a $500 cash prize. Four out of six numbers wins $40, and three out of six wins $3. 

Prizes are determined in the event that there are more than five first prize winners, and those winners will share $5,000,000 in proportion to the number of winners. People who win prize levels 2nd through 4th are subject to be paid on a pari-mutual basis, and 40 percent of the game sales are allocated to prizes. 

There were three Sweet Million winners so far in December, with the winning tickets purchased at three different locations.
