Undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. added another car to his collection. and this one isn't just a normal ride; it's rare and very expensive.
TMZ reported that the price tag of the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita is $4.8 million. Mayweather earlier claimed that he was planning to purchase "the ultra-exotic lightning fast whip."
This car is also believed to be "one of only two" in the world which has a speed of 0-60 in 2.9 seconds and runs at 250 miles per hour.
Mirror said that with this recent purchase Mayweather is certainly living up to his nickname "The Money."
A recent post on his Instagram account showed the boxer posing with his new baby, which has a metallic gray color. It came with a lengthy description of his ride.
"My new 4.8 Million dollar car. $4,800,000.00 Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita supercar. KOENIGSEGG Is An ULTRA Boutique Automobile Manufacturer For The Super Rich," read part of the photo's caption.
He also added that there are also two Trevitas in the world and that his car is the No. 2 vehicle.
"In addition it is the only USA Spec TREVITA Built in the World. The Origin of the car is Sweden. The word TREVITA means '3 Whites.' It is beyond a Super Car, and is classified as a 'Hyper Car,'" Mayweather posted on Instagram.
The boxer is known to be a lover of cars. He even shares his obsession with The Money Team.
Last July, he gave one of his proteges an expensive ride as a gift.
TMZ earlier reported that the undefeated American boxer gave Ashley Theophane a 2015 Chrysler 300 worth more than $30,000.
"Okay, it's not a Bugatti or a Ferrari, but Theophane -- who's 38-6 -- ain't complaining. Theophane tells us he was chillin' at home when Floyd called and said meet him at a dealership," added the same report.
Theophane admitted that he needed a car but did not expect that Mayweather would be so generous to give him an expensive car. Maybe it was also a way of showing his protege that he appreciates him, especially after Theophane won five straight fights.
"Floyd makes so much money. He likes to take care of his team," Theophane added.
The boxer is known for his great collections of cars and automobiles and when it comes to these things, he no longer thinks about the value but focuses on the satisfaction he gets from them.
According to Yibada, his collection includes a number of Rolls-Royces, a Ferrari Enzo and a few Bugatti Veyrons.
