'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' Beta Now Live on PS4! Gameplay, Weapons & 'Advanced Warfare' Updates Here
There was a pleasant surprise for PS4 players on Wednesday as the beta version of the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" was made available a day earlier than its original schedule.
VG247 explained that for those players who were already able to redeem their beta code, they can already check their e-mail for the token.
This is, however, onky applicable for PS4 users. PC and Xbox One players will have to wait until Aug. 26 to play the game.
"The beta includes a handful of different Specialists and multiple gameplay modes, and is expected to finish on August 23," VG247 added.
In terms of gameplay, Attack of the Fanboy said the newest instalment has maintained "the fast paced action of this series."
It also reportedly brought a lot of changes to the game compared to previous releases, especially in terms of scifi arena.
"The biggest of these was certainly the Specialists, super-powered characters that serve as your avatar amid the chaos," added the same report.
There is also a change in the movement system of the game which allows players to try out all possible movements in the games.
SegmentNext said that not all weapons will be accessible once you play the beta version.
"You'll have to work your way up in the levels before they are unlocked," SegmentNext added.
These weapons also reportedly include the type of damage they can do and their statistics.
SegmentNext added that there are also weapons tagged as "classifieds," not because they are not available in the version but, because they still have to be unlocked.
Softpedia said that Activision and Sledgehammer Games are still delivering content for "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" where players can again acquire new weapons starting Aug. 25.
"The community will be able to get the classic AK47, designed to offer an option for those who want to deliver massive damage at medium range, although the recoil might pose some problems," the site said.
The addition of American M16 is also expected to be included in the "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" and create more damage than the ARX-160.
"Like the AK47, the M16's base weapon will be unlocked for use in Create a Class once you receive a variant in a Supply Drop or Advanced Supply Drop. Be on the lookout for the stats of the five unique variants when they release on Xbox One next week!" Sledgehammer said in a statement.
Set to be launched on Nov. 6, the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" is developed by Treyarch and will offer various experiences to players like "campaign, cooperative Shadows of Evil zombie experience, and competitive multiplayer" for PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One users.
