‘American Horror Story’ Season 5 Episode 1 Air Date & Trailer: Lady Gaga Throws Creepy Party for ‘Hotel’ Cast
Lady Gaga is pretty excited for her role in "American Horror Story: Hotel".
She was so excited that she treated her fellow cast members to a pool party, at her home in Los Angeles.
As expected from the 29-year-old singer, she pulled out all the stops for a theatrical affair - complete with red roses, tearful statues, and beautiful dresses.
In line with the creepy FX show, the Daily Mail reported that Lady Gaga decorated her pad with very eerie touches, including a blood-red swimming pool.
However, the affair was very private, with Gaga apologizing for the few snapshots taken at the event.
In a photo with the glowing red water, Gaga said, "A bloody pool for the cast, sorry #AHSfans, there's few pictures. At my parties, killer friends have more fun, when no evidence is left behind."
The morning after the party, AHS creator Ryan Murphy praised Gaga's party efforts on Twitter, saying, "Last night I had a dream that the HOTEL cast went to Gaga's house and at midnight swam in her pool that she dyed blood red just for us."
He went on, "Wait a minute, that was no dream...THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED".
AHS veteran Kathy Bates was also impressed with Gaga's choice of attire, tweeting, "Was it Norma Desmond, Jean Harlow or Marilyn Monroe descending the stairs towards me in a shimmering silver gown? No, it was @ladygaga!"
Lady Gaga is joining the fifth season of Ryan Murphy's horror anthology as Elizabeth, AKA The Countess, owner of Hotel Cortez in Los Angeles, California.
Her character, as described by Murphy in Billboard earlier this month, is 'a very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art, fashion and people."
He also called her "lovely, a total pro, and TERRIFYINGLY GENIUS in her role".
After four installments, FX president John Landgraf promised AHS fans that "Hotel" will be a "huge reinvention for the series," and from the teasers and updates, it seems that things will definitely be different this year.
Den of Geek said that "Hotel" will be inspired by the 1935 screwball musical "Top Hat"as well as a 2013 mystery surveillance at Cecil Hotel.
The most obvious change this season is the absence of AHS vet Jessica Lange. However, many cast members will be returning, including Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, and Lily Rabe.
"American Horror Story: Hotel" will premiere on October 7 on FX.
