Donald Trump Outlines Plans for 2016

Donald Trump has been very vocal about his dislike for undocumented immigrants, and on Sunday, the business mogul outlined his plan for a "better" immigration system to deal with those who are in the United States illegally.

The position paper that Trump published on his website, reported by The New York Times, centers on three main principles:

First, that "a nation without borders is not a nation"

second, that strengthening of the "enforcement arm";

And third, that "any immigration plan must improve jobs, wages, and security for all Americans."

The plans outlined were released after Trump's appearance in a wide-ranging interviews on "Meet the Press" on NBC, and during which he spoke about his plans for said undocumented immigrants.

Trump explained, "We have to keep the families together, but they have to go."

However, he also promised to "expedite it so people can come back in" after their deportation.

Before speaking to the press in detail about his plans should he win the presidency, Trump has focused on crimes committed by undocumented immigrants.

He accused Mexico of sending criminals and rapists to the US.

Trump is not popular among the Latino population.

Trump's policy paper, according to Time Magazine, is rigidly conservative, and echoes much of the same issues that shone the spotlight on the real estate mogul when he announced his intent for the Oval Office.

In June, he said, "They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."

In line with the three main principles, Trump called for building a wall on the US-Mexican border an unlikely multibillion-dollar feat that he wants the Mexican government to pay for.

CBC cited the Republican candidate's paper: "The Mexican government has taken the United States to the cleaners. They are responsible for this problem, and they must help pay to clean it up."

His second principle disallows automatic citizenship.

In his eight-page paper, he mentioned tripling number of US immigration officiers, ending job visas for foreign students, defund sanctuary cities that shelter said undocumented immigrants, and even detain and deport them.

He also mentioned - in line with his third principle - the suspension of granting green cards until more Americans can enter the work force.

What do you think about Trump's policies for the upcoming presidential elections?
