'Parenthood' Season 5 Episode 11 Spoilers: Ed Confronts Julia, Joel Steps In [Video]
Relationship drama will heat up when the "Parenthood" returns to NBC after a brief winter hiatus on Thursday, Jan. 2.
According to an official synopsis of the upcoming episode, which is titled "Promises:" "Julia gets confronted by Ed and Joel steps in. Zeek makes a new friend while Camille is away. Drew remembers old feelings and Natalie gets jealous. Carl attends a fundraiser with Sarah and she is pleasantly surprised to learn more about him," reports Lauren-Online.net.
Fans will remember Ed and Julia shared a brief kiss after Julia asked him to stop contacting her. The year hasn't been easy for her and husband Joel, leading the two to start working on their relationship. However, they aren't the only ones with relationship drama.
In the last episode of the "Parenthood," it seemed as if Ryan and Amber's relationship had reached its end when Ryan announced to a devastated Amber that he was reenlisting in the Army. However, executive producer Sarah Watson told TVLine that he will resurface in a major way next year. "Matt Lauria will be back -that's not the last we've seen of Ryan," Watson confirmed. "He will be back in a big and spectacular way. And I'm not going to say anything more than that, other than get your Kleenex ready."
"This is Amber's first really adult, raw relationship, and things like that don't end as cleanly or as easily as you'd want them to," she added. "This is definitely something we're going to see continue to play out for her."
Parenthood resumes its current fifth season on Thursday, Jan. 2 with the airing of "Promises" on NBC.
