‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 6 Finale: Big ‘A’ Reveal Set - What Happens Next? [Spoilers]
Next week's "Pretty Little Liars" episode is going to be massive. Yes, this season's summer finale is also going to be the big "A" reveal, which means that after six years of waiting, we will finally know who the anonymous bully is, and we can finally put all our fan theories to rest.
At the "Late Night with Seth Meyers", Lucy Hale, who plays Aria Montgomery shared, "When I found out who it was, I had no idea how they came up with it. It's pretty big. It's huge, Seth... It's pretty out of left field."
So if "A" is uncovered this season, what's left to tell of the tale of the pretty litttle liars?
A lot, apparently. According to Entertainment Weekly, when season 6 B picks up next year (no Halloween episode, boo), five years will have passed since the girls graduated. They are already a year out of college, so there should be a lot of new things for them (and for fans) to catch up on.
Showrunner Marlene King already explained why she wanted to do a time jump for the series. She said, "We made that decision so they would have a year to finish school and firmly root themselves into their desired careers, so their wardrobe and hair and makeup and styles reflect where they are professionally in their lives."
So what have the liars been doing in the five years after Season 6 A? Were they being tortured by another "A"?
Fortunately, no, that's not the case. King said, "The girls lived a free life for five years. They have not been tortured or tormented by this anonymous cyber bully. They're taking yoga now, they're breathing. They have more time for extracurricular activities because they're not being chased by an anonymous stalker."
That's great, then, but all is not dandy. King added, "They still suffer from post-traumatic stress at times and we will hear as we go into the next season some stories about how what they've been through has still haunted them and affected the decisions that they make."
Check out a photo of the girls after the time jump here. King is right, they pretty much look the same, but more mature somehow.
How excited are you for the big "A" reveal? Do you have your own theories to share? Who do you think is behind that mask?
