Samsung Galaxy Edge Tablet in the Works? Get the Details Here! [Rumors]
When the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus are revealed in Samsung's Unpacked event this August 13, they will not be the only highlights.
A new tablet is rumored to be also introduced.
According to Phone Arena, a new teaser of the event in its Philippine website suggests that three devices will be announced, "two similarly-sized and one larger below them."
This is reportedly a "massive hint" that the South Korean company will launch the two most awaited devices plus a bonus tablet.
"The silhouettes in the teaser appear to be belonging to the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, the Galaxy Note 5, and a mystery device that looks like an 8-inch tablet," reported Android Authority.
Phone Arena added that the public still has no idea on what type of tablet this will be.
"We shouldn't rule out a more premium version of the Tab S2 to make a debut, and there's always the miniscule chance that Samsung might unveil a tablet with a curved "edge" display," the report said.
In addition, Android Authority said Samsung has just launched the new Galaxy Tab S2 series and that the device in the teaser is different to the Tab series.
Android Authority said that the device seems to have "a slight curvature on the left side of the tablet."
"It's possible that the teaser shows the curved glass back of a tablet or that we're seeing things that simply aren't there," they said.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge device has been doing well in the market because of its specifications and features. There was even a reported shortage of the device since the company did not expect that it will sell well.
TechRadar said that the phone is a great handset since it has "plenty of power and an impressive camera."
Launched in March this year, the device comes with curved sides and a rounded metal frame that makes it great to grab with your hands.
NDTV Gadgets reported that the S6 Edge has an Samsung Exynos 7420 chipset and 3GB of RAM. It is also equipped with a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter.
The phone also supports WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity and comes with a proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor and even a barometer.
If fans will be saying hello to an Edge tablet, it will be quite interesting since the public greatly patronized the S6 Edge device.
