Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Update Download & Release Date: Sony Xperia Z1, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, OnePlus One & More Upgrades Here
Here are the latest mobile devices that will be getting the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update.
Sony Xperia
Sony has confirmed that all original Xperia Z, Xperia Z1 series, and Xperia Z Ultra devices will run using Android Lollipop 5.1.1 in the coming weeks, Android Geeks reported. An Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update was already given to the Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact earlier.
The latest Lollipop upgrade for Xperia handsets comes with various performance improvements and tweaks. One of which is the increased customization options, which will provide users more control over volume, silent modes, and alerts, Sony wrote.
There's also a new LinkedIn integration, enhanced enterprise support, and camera developments with faster and more accurate Superior Auto Mode focus for taking excellent images in spite of conditions, the news outlet noted. Aside from these, the Android Lollipop upgrade will also provide SmartWear integration, which makes taking selfies easier using SmartWatch 3 as a remote shutter button.
Samsung Galaxy
Resurrection Remix, one of the most popular mobile custom ROM developer community, also rolled out an Android 5.1.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
According to International Business Times, the personalization options and tweaks incorporated in the firmware upgrade include: quick slider shortcuts, lockscreen shortcuts, gestures control, notifications drawer, new Clock widget, animations, app circle bar, and a SuperUser indicator switch. Aside from these, exclusive Resurrection Remix Pitch Black themes are included in the update.

OnePlus One
OnePlus One is also getting an Android Lollipop 5.1.1 build LVY48C upgrade from Sonic developers team's Sonic Open Kang Project (SOKP) ROM, a separate report from International Business Times noted.
The SOKP ROM was designed using the stable CyanogenMod base and chosen features from other ROMs, such as AOKP, AOSPA, SLIM, Carbon, Omni, and AOSB, the news outlet wrote. The firmware upgrade comes with in-built options and customization features for users' phones.
Some of these tweaks include the status bar, quick settings, animation controls, navigation bar, hardware buttons, power-menu, PIE control, display settings, live display, Gesture anywhere, vApp Circle bar, recents panel, and sounds and notifications, International Business Times listed.

Samsung Galaxy S5 and S6
T-Mobile network carrier will also unveil the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 upgrade for Samsung's Galaxy S5 and S6, Yibada wrote. The update will fix issues, such as battery drainage, device heating, and camera LED flashlight.
