'Mockingjay Part 2' Trailer: Is The Capitol Transforming Into an Arena? Spoilers, Release Date & More Details Here!
It's the end of another saga as "The Hunger Games" series comes to its inevitable end.
Four months before the premiere and the first trailer for the final film in the franchise has just been released.
Much to fans' excitement, it shows an epic showdown between Donald Sutherland's President Snow and Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen.
All 13 districts in Panem is already in shambles, and it has become an all-our war to overthrow the tyrant leader, but it seems that he's prepared for the mutiny as well, and themes of loyalty and sacrifice has become even more evident that ever, as Katniss readies herself to complete her mission.
The Capitol has become what seemed to be the next Hunger Games arena, as Snow threateningly told Katniss, "My dear Miss Everdeen, make no mistake ... the game is coming to its end."
"We got one shot." Katniss said in the final showdown, and Hemsworth's Gale replied with, "Let's make it count."
The Wall Street Journal reported, "Mockingjay Part 2" could say the same about itself, considering that fans of big blockbuster hits can be very critical about how studios deal with their endings, as evidenced in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2", "Return of the Jedi", and "The Dark Knight Rises".
However, it seems that like previously ended films, this one will also be a monster money-maker, critics be damned.
Noted by News Australia as one of the most anticipated films of the year, the final installment of Suzanne Collins's original material will be a difficult goodbye for the THG cast and fandom to say goodbye to.
Lawrence, for instance, spoke with Variety about her role as Katniss, saying that it changed her life.
"I feel like it will always be a part of me," she added.
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, and Donald Sutherland, acting alongside Elizabeth Banks, Sam Claflin, Natalie Dormer, Woody Harrelson, Jena Malone, Julianne Moore, and Stanley Tucci.
It also shows the late Philip Seymour Hoffman in his final role before his untimely death in 2013.
The film by director Francis Lawrence, produced by Lionsgate will be released in theaters nationwide on November 20.
Chances are that if you read the book you already know what's going to happen. So, are you ready to take down the Capitol?
