Donald Trump Reveals How He Makes Money! Here's What to Expect From the 2016 Presidential Candidate
Donald Trump revealed how much money he makes from his business empire.
The Republican presidential candidate and real estate mogul gamely revealed 92 pages of his assets via the Federal Election Commission on Wednesday, Politico reported.
Trump's properties included wineries, skincare products, perfumes, mattresses, golf courses, hotels, and condos, with "at least $1.4 billion in real estate and other holdings, income of at least $431 million over the past 18 months from a vast number of sources, and liabilities of at least $265 million, including several mortgages" for various properties owned by the businessman, the news outlet noted.
However, Trump's net worth is reportedly absent from the declared assets, Politico noted. Since the FEC only requires candidates to report their assets using ranges, with "over $50 million" being the highest one, it's difficult to come up with Trump's net worth. Last week, he revealed that his net worth was "in excess of TEN BILLION DOLLARS."
Forbes magazine calculated that Trump comes at $4 billion, the news outlet added. Politico also pointed out that Trump "is a golf magnate at least as much as a real estate magnate." He earned least $176.4 million from 15 golf courses in Scotland, Ireland, and across the Eastern Seaboard, while $77.3 million came from his real estate properties, such as condo sales and building rents.
Donald Trump Talks Presidency Bid
In a recent interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper, Trump insisted that he will change his tone when he becomes president. He also expressed his distaste over political reporters, who he thinks are "really, really dishonest," CNN reported.
Regarding his remarks against fellow candidate, Lindsey Graham, Trump said that he retaliated because he was provoked, the news outlet reported.
"I didn't start it with Lindsey Graham. I couldn't care less about Lindsey Graham. He's registered at I think zero in the polls," Trump said, as quoted by CNN. "Lindsey Graham called me a jackass. So am I supposed to say, 'Oh, it's OK'? I'm called a jackass. You have to fight back."
Graham, a Republican, previously criticized Trump for the latter's comments against Sen. John McCain's service in the Vietnam War. According to Trump, McCain is a war hero "because he was captured," CNN noted. McCain was a captive for more than 5 years and was prohibited from having an early release.
His speech at a rally in South Carolina also saw the reveal of some of Trump's plans for the people if he gets elected as president.
"All I want to do is make us rich, save your Social Security, [and] stop having everyone rip us off!" he remarked, as quoted by Huffington Post. "I can bring wealth in so that we can save your Social Security without cuts."
