Samsung Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge Release Date in MWC 2016? Specs, Features & Price Details Here [Rumors]
Samsung has been keeping mum about the Galaxy S7, but there have been reports about its specs and features even before official word has been announced.
Ecumenical News already heard that the Galaxy S7 will follow the same design aesthetics as that of the previous S model, with the use of glass and metal, as it had been praised by millions of users.
There are also news of the company testing high-resolutions displays for the Galaxy Note 5, which is expected to be used by the S7 as well.
Beneath the pretty packaging, it seems that Samsung is going to go back to using Qualcomm for their next flagship model, with rumors of both companies still working together on the Snapdragon 820.
However, it is more likely that the S7 will run on the 64-bit Exynos processor, with 4GB RAM and 128GB memory storage.
Tech Times said that there are reports of the Galaxy S7 being tested with different variants of processor, one running on the Snapdragon, and the other on Exynos. News of the exact chip to be used will have to be put off until the company sends a confirmation.
Other rumors regarding the S7 say that it will sport an awesome 30MP main camera, with a 10MP front cam with Giga Pixel features for better photo capture.
It is also said to be waterproof, dustproof, and will come with infrared sensors.
With all these features from the S7, there should be at least the same updates for the S7 Edge, but as far as Trusted Reviews is concerned, there is no news yet if the 'Edge' model will be distinct from the S7, or if it will have a curved screen technology much like the S6 Edge model.
The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are also reported to sport the latest Android OS, and is said to come with the Android M operating system, which should be out later this year or early next year.
If previous releases are to be the basis of the S7, it should be out by April 8 or 16, 2016, and will be announced officially by the Mobile World Congress 2016 set for February 22 to 25.
Until then, Samsung has enough time to determine which processor will fit best for the Galaxy S7 models.
Until further details are uncovered, Samsung fans and enthusiasts are looking at a nearer launch from the brand, the Galaxy Note 5, which could be unveiled by September.
