Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Release Date: September, Says Analyst

By Staff Reporter| Jun 19, 2013

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is still months away, but that hasn't stopped industry analysts and consumers alike from gearing up for what will undoubtedly be one of the hottest smartphones of the year. While Samsung hasn't announced anything official on the phablet, more and more signs are pointing to a reveal around the time of IFA 2013.

According to one Korean analyst (via Android Geeks), Samsung is gearing up to confront Apple's alleged fall release of new iPhones with the Galaxy Note 3 in September.

Although it's just one industry analyst's speculation, the report falls right in line with previous rumors stating that the Galaxy Note 3 will make its debut around IFA 2013 in Berlin. The large technology trade show will take place from Sept. 6 - 11. Samsung revealed the Galaxy Note 2 last year around the IFA show.

Other recent Galaxy Note 3 rumors include a prototype leak showing off the massive phablet. If the prototype and the surrounding speculation hold true, then the Galaxy Note 3, when it does launch this fall, will sport a design similar to the Galaxy S4. While it means buyers will be stuck with a plastic feel this year, Samsung is reportedly thinking about going all-metal after the Note 3.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to come with a 6-inch 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocking in over 2GHz, 3GB RAM, a rather impressive 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, and, of course, the latest version of the S Pen electronic stylus.
