Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Release Date & Specs: Top 10 Features Expected in Windows 10 Device [Rumors]
Expected to be released this coming October, the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 promises great features including the Windows 10 which will surely make fans and users excited for its release.
Here are the top 10 features of the upcoming high-end tablet:
Display and Screen
TechTimes noted that the upcoming device will not really have major design changes and will come with "the same bezel size" and a 12-inch screen with a 2,160 by 1,440 pixel resolution.
"Apple is said to be working on a 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Many tablet enthusiasts will hope that the Surface Pro 4 is also launched with a bigger screen size that can compete with the rumored iPad Pro," added the same report.
2. Processor and Storage
The Microsoft Surface Pro will reportedly have Intel's newest Skylake processor with up to 16GB RAM. TechTimes said the tablet may come with a 1 TB version aside from the 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 500GB internal storage options that the Surface Pro 3 previously had.
3. Windows 10
According to Microsoft's website, Windows 10 makes a user an expert in using it. "The Start Menu is back in an expanded form, plus we'll bring over your pinned apps and favorites so they're ready and waiting for you. It starts up and resumes fast, has more built-in security to help keep you safe, and is designed to work with software and hardware you already have," explained the website.
BGR added that the Windows 10 will be unveiled at the IFA 2015 show in Berlin this coming September 4.
4. Design
Meanwhile, TechRadar dished that the Surface Pro 4 may use accessories similar to its predecessor.
"We are pleased to share that the following Surface Pro 3 accessories are designed with our product roadmap in mind and will be compatible with the next generation of the 'Pro' line of Surface like: Today's Surface Pro 3 Type Covers, Our "infrastructure" accessories such as our power adapter, Ethernet adapter, and more," said Microsoft's Surface line Brian Hall in the TechRadar report.
5. Laptop replacement
Alphr noted that the Surface Pro 3 was highly acclaimed, tagging it as a perfect replacement for a laptop. Hence, fans are hoping that the Pro 4 will be the hybrid that can perfectly replace both laptops and tablets.
6. Better performance
Since there will be less design tweaks, Christian Post said Microsoft will focus more on improving the performance of the tablet.
7. Price
It was added in the TechTimes report that the tablet will start to be sold at $799 when it becomes available in the market.
8. Sales expected to ramp despite decline
Food World News indicated that the Surface Pro 4 is expected to again increase the demand for tablets which has reportedly showed great decline for the past months.
9. Great catch for Surface Pro users
The tablet will reportedly come with almost the same specifications as the Surface Pro 3 but will have a cheaper price tag.
10. N-Trig Stylus
The upcoming tablet is also believed to come with the a new stylus after Microsoft acquired N-Trig, an Israel company known for the Surface tablets' "pressure-sensitive stylus technology."
