Beyonce's Surprise 'Visual Album' Comes With Impressive Collection of Music Videos
Beyonce is back. After more than two years of desperately waiting for news regarding the release date of her next album, she does us one better. She drops it.
Late last night, Beyonce released the self-titled album without notice. It simply appeared on iTunes. It’s described as a “visual album” complete with 14 tracks, music videos for each song and guest appearances from Jay Z, Drake, Frank Ocean and Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
What’s most surprising about her surprise album is that no one saw it coming. When such a high caliber artist is preparing an album, the whole world knows. It defies the law of modern culture that she was able to keep it so secret. But hey, who’s complaining?
Production credits include Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Terius Nash (aka The-Dream), Hit-Boy and Drake alongside his house producer Noah “40” Shebib. The video directors include names such as Hype Williams, Terry Richardson and @LILINTERNET.
