'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' Trailer & PS4 Beta Release Dates: Zombies, Gameplay & Features to Watch For
The upcoming "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" multiplayer beta, reportedly exclusive to the PS4, will be available for just five days.
According to GameSpot, the multiplayer beta will be available from August 19 to August 23 only but revealed no details on when the beta release will happen for the Xbox One and PC. Game developer Activision, however, has reportedly expressed that it will announce the beta versions for other platforms soon.
The same report said users can preorder a copy of the game but expect that it will not be available on Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.
"The Black Ops III multiplayer beta coming first to PS4 is just one part of publisher Activision's new relationship with Sony. As part of the new Activision/Sony agreement, all Black Ops III DLC will launch first on PlayStation platforms. Previously, DLC came to Xbox platforms before other systems," explained GameSpot.
In a similar report, VideoGamer said that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's Zombies mode now has a new trailer.
A remake of the Der Riese map from Call of Duty: World at War is only available to those who pre-ordered the collector's editions, which came with the "Juggernog Edition."
It was earlier reported that Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is expected to be the first athlete to be part of the "Call of Duty" video game franchise.
Lynch is set to appear as a character in the "Call of Duty: Black Ops III."
The running back showed up at the Activision Motion Capture Studio in Los Angeles for the motion capture process, saying he was "really glad to be here."
Yahoo Sports reported that Lynch went through the whole process of capturing "360-degree and 3-D images of his facial features, frame and his movements" prior to acting out while armed with plastic handguns in a scene with a virtual crew.
It was explained in a report from The Verge that Lynch will appear in a situation where he is drinking beer and smoking with some people inside a bar in Singapore.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops III" will launch on November 6 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Users can preorder the game from its official website with its partner retailers Amazon, Best Buy, Gamestop, Target and Walmart for $59.99.
Amazon described the game as "unlike anything before it."
Amazon also said that "Black Ops III" will use the same network infrastructure and social systems supporting "world-class Multiplayer and Zombies game modes."
"Treyarch premieres a new momentum-based chained-movement system, allowing players to fluidly move through the environment with finesse, using controlled thrust jumps, slides, and mantling abilities in a multitude of combinations, all while maintaining complete control over your weapon at all times," according to the game description on the online market site.
