Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Release Date & Price: Specs Improvements Expected From Surface Pro 3 [Rumors]
Rumors about Microsoft's supposed newest addition to the Surface Pro series are abundant, but the company has yet to confirm any of them.
One of the most talked about possibilities with the rumoured Surface Pro 4 is the extent of its advancement as compared to the Surface Pro 3.
According to Master Herald, many are debating on how much better the Surface Pro 4 would coast as compared to the current model.
Surface Pro 3 currently offers a ClearType Full HD Plus 12-inch multi-touch display which can be matched with different RAM, processors, and storage options.
Buyers are also given the options of having a 1.5GHz Core i3, a 1.9GHz i5 or a 1.7GHz i7 processor. These also have varying graphics of Intel 4200, Intel 4400, and Intel 5000 respectively.
Different processors also have differing CPU maximum capabilities with the Core i3 having at 1.5GHz, Core i5 at 2.9GHz and the Core i7 at 3.3GHz, the last two with a turbo boost.
According to Microsoft's official webpage, the Surface Pro 3 4GB RAM can be matched with 64GB or 128GB internal memory while the 8GB RAM unit can have either a 256GB or a 512GB storage capacity.
Master Herald reported that the new model would most probably have more improvements in terms of hardware which allegedly would be integrated into their Windows ecosystem.
Christian Today revealed that there have been speculations that the release of the new generation of the Surface Pro would be made the same time or right after the new Windows 10 has been launched.
Unlike to the Surface Pro 3's 12-inch 2160 x 1440 display, the Surface Pro 4 is expected to be available in 12-inch and 14-inch displays with a resolution 2140 x 1440.
It is also projected to be packed with a power-packed Intel processor known as Skylake contrary to the previously rumored Broadwell chips.
The Surface Pro 4 is also rumored to boast the internal storage of 1 terrabyte, which is twice the highest possible memory size of the Surface Pro 3, currently limited to 512 gigabytes.
Other possible improvements, says Christian Today, include 8-megapixel snapper compared to the Surface Pro 3's 5-megapixel rear camera as well as a better battery that can last more than the 9-hour capacity of the current model.
The bottom line is that Surface Pro 4 would outdo its predecessor not just with its looks but also in its other features.
