iPhone 7 Running Android? Here's How It Looks Like
Apple's iPhone and Google's Android operating system come from different worlds. iPhone handsets run using iOS while Android powers devices from Samsung, Motorola, and LG, among others.
Android working together with the iPhone seems highly unlikely and far-fetched, but this didn't stop others in making concept videos combining the two. Watch the clips below.
Listed below are the speculated features and specs of the iPhone 7 if it were envisioned with Android. Note that these are all concepts and nothing is set in stone yet.
iPhone 7 with Android (Specs & Features)
As per Android Origin, an iPhone 7 running using Android will feature a bezel-less design and three different body colors. A notification light with various colors will be available under the Home button. A front-facing 8 megapixel camera will also be included in the device. That's pretty much it.
Moving away from this talk of Android powering the iPhone 7, MacWorld has published a report with rumored details about Apple's next iPhone device. Read on below for the news outlet's speculations about the iPhone 7.
Design & Display
MacWorld claimed that the tech giant's next smartphone will come in at 4.7 inches and a 5.5-inch for the iPhone 7 Plus. There are suggestions that the iPhone 7's design will be a minor upgrade from its predecessor, with the same dimensions as the iPhone 6. There's also the possibility of a high screen resolution.
OS, Battery, & Memory
The news outlet wrote that the iPhone 7's battery life will only be slightly improved, but it is expected that iOS 9 will add more juice to the smartphone thanks to the OS' new features and enhancements. It is also said that the iPhone 7 will roll out in 16 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB variants.
Other Features
MacWorld further claimed that the iPhone 7 could have a USB-C port like the new 12-inch MacBook. However, it's more likely that Apple will retain the Lightning port for its iPhone given that the change was just recently made.
According to The Independent, a now-deleted post from an employee at Foxconn, which manufactures Apple's hardware, showed that the tech giant could unveil a pink iPhone. The device will have a high resolution 12 MP camera sensor, and is capable of recording 4K video. The phone's shooter will protrude slightly on the back just like the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus' camera.
The Independent also reported that the iPhone 7 will have the Force Touch feature and the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
Release Date & Price
MacWorld speculated that Apple will launch a new iPhone in September, just like it usually does each year. Expert Reviews claimed it would sell at $820 and could reach up to $1060.
