'Forza Motorsport 6' Release Date, Car List & Trailer: Xbox One Mod System, Livery Contest & More Updates Here
Coming to the Xbox One on Sept. 15 this year, the "Forza Motorsport 6" is expected to bring a lot of surprises to the racing game, including more than 450 car options.
On its official website, Xbox said that the cars are expected to be "immaculately recreated and customizable, and complete with working cockpits and full damage" to give better gaming experience to the fans. It will also reportedly enable gamers to tour 26 places like Brands Hatch, Daytona, Le Mans and Rio de Janeiro, among others.
"Home of the greatest racing, tuning and painting community in gaming. 2-player split-screen racing, 24-player races, and realistic Drivatar opponents deliver packed tracks and unrivaled action," added the game's description on the website.
According to AutoExpress, the Microsoft's Xbox One exclusive release will include the Ford GT, Ferrari's LaFerrari, Jaguar E-type S1, Lamborghini Aventador, Nissan GT-R Black Edition and Maserati 8CTF.
In addition, the same report noted that racing can also happen at night and under the rain to make gameplay more realistic.
Aside from these, it has been reported that aquaplaning and wet rumble strips will be added to the game to avoid crashes.
"It means racers will have to allow for differing levels of grip, not just reduced visibility in low light levels," explained AutoExpress.
Meanwhile, GameZone added that the "Forza Motorsport 6" will come with a mod system which is a first in the game's history.
In an interview with GameZone, creative director Bill Geise explained that this mod system will add a "customizable difficulty setting" to the racing game.
As an example of this setup, gamers would be asked to begin at the back of the pole position without rewinds, thus, making winning games more difficult.
"Of course, the rewards will be increased for completing the race on this higher difficulty setting," GameZone noted adding that the mods will not be changing the authentic experience hoped for the game.
To make things more exciting, IGN said that Forza Motorsport will have a Livery Contest in celebration of its 10 years. This will be down in partnership with Turn 10 Studios. The winning design for this contest will reportedly be featured in the Forza Motorsport 6 then painted to the 2017 Ford Focus RS.
"Forza is driven by people. t's how Forza fans use the tools that we build that has made the series so special," Turn 10 Studios Community Manager Brian Ekberg told IGN.
Forza developer Dan Greenawalt mentioned in a GamePur report that the game will just be simple but with a great display of power.
"You're put into a division based on your skill and temperament. So that keeps you away from grievers, keeps you with people in your same continent, same time zone, so you've better quality of service," Greenawalt added.
