'Harry Potter' Actress Afshan Azad is All Grown-Up! See Her Latest Photos Now
"Harry Potter" star Afshan Azad proves yet again how child actors can grow gracefully into adults.
For those who do not recall who she is and what character she portrayed in the famous wizardry book and film series by J.K. Rowling, Azad was the teen actress who played Ron Weasely's not-so-thrilled date, Padma Patil of the House of Ravenclaw, during the Yule Ball in the "Harry Potter: Goblet of Fire."
The "before and after" photos of the 27-year-old model-actress became trending over the information superhighway after Buzzfeed revealed how "different" she looks now from then.
According to the entertainment news outlet, Azad is a British model-actress who is of Bangladeshi descent, which explain why she was cast for the role back when she was 16.
While the entire social networking world is making it a huge deal, Azad herself was unimpressed.
"As much as I'm flattered, is there a need?" she posted on Twitter with a link to the post from Buzzfeed.
She further expressed her opinion towards the "unnecessary fuss" on her alleged transformation by tweeting: "Seriously guys, all this hype after the Buzzfeed article is ridiculous! Hilarious but crazy! I appreciate it&all but come on I was 16 then!!"
In another tweet, she thanked her fans for making her feel "loved," she emphasized that her transformation was not a work of wizardry, deeming the term "transformation" inappropriate to describe what happened when she "just grew up."
After not being included in the last Harry Potter film "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2" back in 2011, Azad decided to do some modeling which still keeps her busy at present.
Zimbio believes it is an appropriate job for her, considering that she has become an immensely gorgeous woman whom the report described to have the type of beauty which supermodels have, so much so that reports consider hers as another case of Matthew Lewis'.
Lewis is the actor who also portrayed a Hogwarts student, named Neville Longbottom. He is now dubbed as an awkward-teen-turned-hunk after he posed barely clothed in an issue of the Attitude Magazine as featured by TMZ back in May.
He was formerly a pudgy faced child star who became the definition of "kicking puberty's ass," says Buzzfeed, after he showed off how hunky he can be.
According to the report, the 25-year-old former "Gryffindork" has become unrecognizable after he posed while "stripped down to his Armani skivvies" for the 10-page spread.
