Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Set for Earlier Release Date? Top 5 Specs & Features to Watch For [Price Rumors]

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will reportedly come out a month earlier than its expected release.

In a Smart Office report, it was noted that insiders have confirmed that there are talks that the phablet could be released as easily as August and not during the IFA 2015 in September as earlier reported.

There were even rumors that the device could come out as early as July in Europe, but the Korean website WhoWired clarified that Samsung Electronics President Shin Jong-kyun denied the rumored July release of the device.

With the device coming out sooner than expected, here are a few features that movie fans should look out for:

Better display

ValueWalk noted that the new handset could either feature a a 2K or a 4K Super AMOLED flat display, but there is still a possibility that the company could switch to an OLED display.

"This suggestion was probably never particularly likely to come to fruition anyway, as the Super AMOLED technology in the Galaxy Note series has been hugely praised previously," explained ValueWalk.

The same report noted that it is highly possible for the Note 5 to have a 4K resolution display because Samsung used the technology in its previous smartphone releases.

A worthy competitor of new Apple phones

According to MasterHerald, the new installment "might be one that can take another little slice of the Apple world away" since it will come with great features that can match the performance of iPhones and iPads.

Will come in three variants

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is expected to come in 3 variants which would be different based on their internal storage capacity: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. All of which have expandable storage capacity of up to 128GB. It is also said to have an octa-core processor at 2.9Ghz with a 64 bit architecture for the Exynos variant and a quad-core Snapdragon 808 variant.

Great design and additional features

The handset is believed to come with aluminium finished edges with an all-metallic curved body. It will not only be dust and scratch resistant but also water-resistant. Finger print sensor and retina scanner are also expected to be included in the long list of features of the device which could also include Knox Security mode and a heart rate sensor.

Price

According to KnowYourMobile, the Galaxy Note 5 is expected to cost more than previous installments once it becomes available in the market because of its features and specifications. Analysts are expecting for it to be valued at $1,000. Nevertheless, this pricing is also expected to go down a few months after the market release of the device.

If there is indeed barely two months waiting time for this device, fans will surely be excited to experience this state-of-the-art offering from Samsung.
