'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Episode 1 Air Date & Cast News: The Latest Spoilers to Watch For
Spoiler alert! The upcoming season 6 of "The Walking Dead" is set to introduce new characters and deaths after reports revealed what fans should expect.
According to TWD fan site UndeadWalking.com, the production team for the famous Fox TV series is currently looking for an actor and an actress to portray the new characters named Kirk and Hilda, a husband a wife who are expected to be "recurring guest stars" in the show.
The casting call was posted on the Facebook page The Spoiling Dead Fans, indicating that the zombie-filled series is in need of a male in his mid-20s to 30 to play a "blue collar everyman from a small town" who "avoided being cynical and bottom line minded," with the additional note that the character would be a "recurring guest star with series option for subsequent seasons."
Meanwhile, the actress to portray Hilda should be attractive, in her mid-20s to 30, and should play a strong woman, though the description for this character is limited to just being the "perfect partner" for Kirk.
Cinema Blend noted how the two characters seems to be an entirely new addition to the story and was not based on any character in the original "Walking Dead" comics, with a few more speculations.
"It could be that we're getting another gender switcheroo, as was the case with Douglas/Deanna, and that Kirk might actually be the doctor Denise, an important character that almost has to appear in the show at some point," the report wondered, adding that this is a far-fetched guess since Denise wasn't married in the original story.
Aside from introducing new faces, "The Walking Dead" Season 6 may also see some deaths including that of Eugene Porter, portrayed by Josh McDemitt.
This possible spoiler came from actor Michael Cudlitz, who plays Abraham in the show, after he replied to McDemitt's tweet about filming a new movie: "Enjoy. I had a blast working with you. (I did)..."
Speculations about this possible death escalated further after Cudlitz deleted the post and replaced it with a re-tweet of McDermitt's post.
Meanwhile, fans of the show are in for a treat after Fox revealed the release of a spinoff series entitled "Fear the Walking Dead," which tackles how the zombie outbreak took over Los Angeles, Unreality TV UK reported.
Upon its debut in August, the zombie spinoff would showcase a couple of moments from the early days when Rick, played by Andrew Lincoln, was still in a coma.
