Selena Gomez is Pantene's New Spokesperson! Endorsement Deal Worth $3 Million A Year?
Pantene has tapped Selena Gomez as its new spokesperson.
The former Disney star announced her latest endorsement deal via her social media pages on Monday morning, Billboard reported.
"I've always loved using Pantene, so it's a dream come true to be the brand's newest ambassador. Not only because Pantene stands for strong, healthy hair but also because it encourages women to be their best selves," Gomez said of her involvement with Pantene Hair Care, as quoted by E! News.
She continued, "My style is constantly evolving and I love to take risks, so I'm always changing my hair style. I rely on Pantene to keep my hair strong and healthy so I can take on each day with confidence."

Aside from the hair care brand, the 22-year-old singer/actress also worked with Adidas Neo and Kmart, Billboard noted. Gomez has also been a UNICEF Ambassador since September 2009.
As for how much her contract deal with Pantene is worth, E! News claimed via an industry insider that the brunette beauty will get paid $3 million a year as the brand's spokesmodel.
The "I Want You to Know" songstress is the most recent Latina spokesperson hired by an international beauty company, Billboard reported. Eva Mendes was also employed by Pantene as its representative back in 2011. A recent study conducted by Nielsen said that "Latinas are more likely than the general market to spend on hair care products and account for 16 percent of total U.S. sales in this category," the news outlet added.

Selena Gomez Teases 'Good for You'
Just recently, Gomez has been teasing her upcoming single titled "Good for You" on Instagram.
The song will be officially unveiled on June 22, a separate report from Billboard said. One of the snapshots Gomez shared on Instagram was of herself sitting on a stool against a bare white wall.
In an interview with Hollywood Life, Gomez's vocal coach, Stevie Mackey, revealed that the recording artist's new music will highlight her past relationship with Justin Bieber.
"She doesn't mention him directly," Mackey told the news outlet. "But one could deduce that she is [singing about him]. Most artists sing about their present or past relationships in their music. Selena's no different."
Aside from her music career, Gomez is also busy in her acting commitments. She recently attended a photo call for her upcoming animated film, "Hotel Transylvania 2," at the Summer of Sony Pictures Entertainment event in Cancún, Mexico last Sunday, a separate report from E! News noted. Gomez was joined by her co-stars Adam Sandler (Count Dracula) and Kevin James (Frank/Frankenstein). The actress will reprise her voice role as Mavis in the movie.
"Hotel Transylvania 2" will debut in theaters on September 25 and is directed by Genndy Tartakovsky.
