'Pro Evolution Soccer 2016' Release Date, Gameplay & Trailer: New Features, Cover & Everything You Need to Know
On Friday, Konami will disclose the full details of the "Pro Evolution 2016," which has a slogan of "The Pitch is Ours," in celebration of its 20th anniversary. The company is also expected to reveal more exciting details about the upcoming installment.
FullFifa said that Konami has already revealed that Neymar will be the cover player of the game and that fans can already preorder it in the MyClub website.
The Brazilian football player said in the FullFifa report that it is an honor for him to be on the cover of the game.
"The series has long been praised for its sheer level of control and utter realism and I am delighted to be working with such a talented team as Konami. I am fascinated by the huge amount of work involved in putting together the game and ensuring the world's top players look and play just like the real things, and cannot wait to see myself in action as soon as possible," the Barcelona player said.
Meanwhile, European Brand Director of Football Erik Bladinieres mentioned in a Gamepur article that Neymar is a perfect fit for the PES brand and what it aims to achieve.
"His unique qualities and the ability to surprise goes hand in hand with the gameplay experience in PES 2016. In our anniversary year we want to celebrate the past, while look forward to the exciting future of the brand. We'll do this with Neymar Jr. leading our campaign," Bladinieres said.
According to Pocket-Lint, the teaser video of the game was released earlier this week with outstanding graphics. The site added that the video quality of the 27-second trailer was "mightily impressive," noting that the sequences also looked more realistic.
In a similar report, PSU said that the game developer was able to ink a deal with UEFA to make sure that the "PES 2016," not "FIFA 16" will carry the Champions League.
"KONAMI and UEFA has enjoyed a close relationship since the original agreement was signed in 2009 and the new partnership will allow KONAMI to use all iconography and presentation elements associated with the competitions exclusively within the PES series," a press release of the company read as quoted by PSU.
As for the game's release date, Konami usually unveils its game installment a week prior or after Fifa's release, but now it has reportedly made the release date to Nov. 11, which is about more than one month and a half after the expected Fifa release.
