HTC One E9st Release Date Soon? Octa-Core Phablet Spotted in Listing! Expected Specs & Features Here
The HTC One E9st's release is expected to be sooner than earlier reported after the device was spotted in the list of the Chinese regulatory commission TENAA.
The device, according to Softpedia, is the expected addition to HTC's mid-range Android lineup, and since it has already been included on TENAA, it is anticipated to be available in the market really soon.
The same report added that the device will most likely be launched in China because it has China Mobile's logo on its back panel.
AndroidOS mentioned that the listing in TENAA revealed the images of the device and its major specifications though the pricing and availability details are still unknown.
The TENAA listing revealed that the One E9st will likely have a 5.5-inch 720p HD AMOLED display, 1.5GHz octa-core processor, Android 5.0.2 and 2GB of RAM. For storage, it is expected to have 16GB internal storage and a microSD card slot for memory expansion.
Its main camera, according to AndroidOS, will be a 13MP shooter, while its front-facing camera is expected to be 4MP one.
The phone will be offered in "dual-color designs multiple color options" like for example, white/gold.
Softpedia added that these specifications are lower than the recently revealed One E9+ predecessor.
Meanwhile, PhoneCurrent detailed that the HTC One E9st will come with dual sim functionality. It is also expected to have a thickness of 7.64 mm and weigh around 165 grams, including the battery.
"Connectivity on the device is covered by 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS for navigation," added the same report.
The upcoming smartphone, according to Android Headlines, will be considered as the "regular (or standard) version of the plastic flagship" since it has a similar design but lower specs.
"It seems to belong to the Desire series based on the position of the cameras, plus it looks that it won't feature the metallic frame," added Android Headlines.
Ecumenical News reported that the device could just be the "hero product" of HTC after its One M9 failed to provide a tough competition to other known brands in the market.
"The One M9 failing to impress customers and facing criticism for lacking major improvement as well as falling behind competitive offers," added Ecumenical News.
HTC is certainly doing its best to adjust its products based on the expectations of the users especially that it has great competition from the LG G4 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.
The mobile company held a shareholders' meeting this week to assure its investors that its products will do good in the market and promised that they will continue making great offerings like the E9st, which could be released in the coming weeks.
