Prank Leaves Woman Glued to Home Depot Toilet Seat, Police Search for Culprit
Pranks are a fun way to lively up your mundane work day. As long as they’re innocent and no one is hurt in the process, it’s really just all fun and games. They brighten our day and put a smile on our face. Unless, of course, they cross the line. A prank can easily spiral out of control and end in disaster. Once it strikes, the culprit will remain tight-lipped, scared to reveal his or her identity in fear of punishment. Sure it’s all fun and games, until someone gets glued to a toilet seat.
Police in Georgia are investigating a prank gone wrong at a Home Depot that left a customer glued to a toilet seat. Illyanna De La Keur, 40, of Banks County, was unaware that the toilet seats had been covered with Loctite glue inside the lady’s room before she sat down. When attempting to lift herself from the toilet, she realized the severity of her circumstance. She was unable to move without ripping her skin.
Twenty-five minutes passed before anyone came to offer De La Keur help. It then took emergency workers over an hour to remove her from the seat, a process that she says was “really embarrassing.” Although she eventually broke free, De La Keur believed that the extraction was mismanaged and should have taken place in the hospital.
“The bathroom is unsanitary,” she told WSB-TV. “There were people in there. There were men in there. Everybody was sticking their head in. And here I am with somebody rubbing WD-40 on me and pulling me loose from the seat.”
The incident occurred on Nov. 27. De La Keur is still experiencing difficulty walking as police continue to search for the culprit.
Pranksters beware. A fun, innocent outing can quickly go horribly awry. Think of all the consequences and put yourself in the victims shoes, or in this case, their buttocks.
