Mariah Carey's Brother Morgan Says ‘Infinity’ Singer is Mentally Incapable, Expects Her to Die Like Whitney Houston
Mariah Carey's brother has made some shocking statements about the songstress.
Monroe Carey, whom the "Hero" singer hasn't directly spoken to in over two years, claimed in an interview that his sister is not a fit mom to her four-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, because of her serious drinking problems.
"I can't say that I have ever been around her when she was sober, and that's very scary," he recently said, as reported by Daily Mail from the National Enquirer magazine. "She does not have a support system, and she is not mentally capable."
According to her brother, the 45-year-old diva's alcohol addiction is so alarming that she might end up dying like Whitney Houston. He added that Carey has a daily intake of several medications such Zyprexa, Ativan, and Depakote, insisting that the singer is trying to forget her problems by drinking champagne and wine regularly.
"Mariah was drinking through her pregnancy -- even while she was nursing," Morgan further revealed, as quoted by Daily Mail. In addition, he also claimed that Carey has been suffering from mental health problems since 2001, which has resulted to her alleged excessive drinking.
He insisted that the recording artist has "pushed away the only people who've been trustworthy," explaining that, "If my sister turns up dead ... I'm not going to look the other way! Anyone who's filling her glass is jeopardising her life," Daily Mail reported.
Carey's estranged husband, Nick Cannon, also didn't escape from Morgan's line of fire. According to the songstress' sibling, Cannon is a "crock of s*it" and that he only married his sister for the money.
"Nick listened to people who said, 'Get with Mariah, she thinks you're cute, have kids and ride it to the bank.' Nick was there for the cash from day one. He doesn't give a damn about Mariah," Morgan claimed in the interview, as quoted by the news outlet. "'Nick took tremendous advantage of her and continues to do so."
Mariah Carey Slams 'American Idol'
Carey's disdain of her time as one of the judges on "American Idol" back in 2012 wasn't exactly a secret. The "Infinity" singer was candidly open about her disappointment over the show's premise, calling it "exaggerated," "boring," and "fake," a separate report from Daily Mail said based on her interview with Australian KIIS FM.
Carey was featured in Season 12 of the talent show alongside Randy Jackson, Keith Urban, and Nicki Minaj, Daily Mail noted. She insisted that her stint on "American Idol" was "the worst experience" of her life, adding that she wouldn't want to be involved in a show that clashed two women against each other, referring to her feud with Minaj.
The "Emotions" singer also has a long-standing rivalry with Jennifer Lopez, who replaced Carey when she departed the talent show, the news outlet added.
