Bruce Jenner Woman Look Coming Soon? Ex-Olympian to Debut New Appearance in Vanity Fair Cover [Rumors]
Former Olympian Bruce Jenner is rumored to reveal his female identity on the cover of Vanity Fair.
According to People Magazine, "multiple sources" said that the patriach of the Kardashian-Jenner clan will debut his new look in an exclusive report. However, the rumors remain unconfirmed by any one of the members of the family.
The Sydney Morning Herald noted that if these rumors do prove to be true, the 65-year-old will be the first member of the family to appear in an issue of Vanity Fair. While the rest of the family have been featured in different magazine covers, including Kim Kardashian and Kanye West in Vogue last year, Vanity Fair was noted for being hostile towards the television-famous family.
People reported that Bruce's cover shoot will be done by the legendary Annie Leibovitz, who has photographed some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, including Michael Jackson, George Clooney, and even Queen Elizabeth II. Most recently, Leibovitz photographed the cast of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" for Vanity Fair.
The New York Daily News said that Jenner's coming out as woman was a carefully executed PR plan with the help of Kim and his ex-wife, Kris Jenner, as an attempt for the public to take Bruce's transition more seriously. A source told the news outlet, "We all saw what happened with the In Touch cover. He wants to be taken seriously."
In January, In Touch ran a photoshopped photo of Bruce on their cover, with his face pasted on a photo of "Dynasty" star Stephanie Beacham, with a scarf and a red top. To avoid public humiliation such as that incident again, Jenner is being careful about his big unveil.
The source also noted that if the family chooses to go on a different direction from a spread on Vanity Fair, they are also considering an "accidental" photo capture, with Bruce running errands and dressed as a woman. The source said, "He will set it up ahead of time and either come out on a normal day - and from then on he'll be a woman in his daily life for the public - or he'll go to a dinner and be in a dress. But it's likely he'll ease us into the nighttime look."
"Keeping Up With The Kardashians" recently aired a special called "About Bruce" showing that he told his stepdaughter, Khloe, that he's planning to fully transition "probably in the spring" as reported by USA Today. However, after he reveals his new look, E! will premiere an eight-part docu-series that will chronicle his new life as a transgender woman.
