'The Big Bang Theory' Season 7 Episode 11 Spoilers: Gang Imagines Life Without Sheldon in 'The Cooper Extraction' [Video]
The upcoming episode of the hit CBS comedy series "The Big Bang Theory" promises to be filled with laughs as the gang imagines what life would be like if Sheldon didn't exist.
The holiday-themed episode, which is titled "The Cooper Extraction," echoes the classic Christmas film "It's A Wonderful Life."
The official summary for the upcoming episode reads: "While Sheldon is away in Texas, everyone gathers to decorate the apartment Christmas tree, and they each realize how much he has changed their lives," reports Hypable.com.
As a result of Sheldon being away, the subject of a Sheldon-free or (a wonderful life) comes up, notes the Hollywood Hills.
However, the preview makes it clear that some of the consequences will be unexpectedly quite dire.
By no surprise, Leonard will be the most effected by the hypothetical absence of Dr. Cooper in his life. Differences in Leonard's life will also clearly affect Penny. In addition, this change will also have an effect on both Howard and Raj's lives. The promo, however, doesn't dwell much on Amy and how a theoretical Sheldon-free existence would affect her.
"The Big Bang Theory" S7E11 is scheduled to be the final episode of the year. Fortunately for fans, the top-rated comedy is tentatively scheduled to return in early January, so the winter hiatus should be relatively brief.
"The Cooper Extraction," will air on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 8:00 p.m. EST on CBS.
*Editor's Note: A previous version of this article wrongly reported it was the show's season finale. It has been corrected to show that the episode is the mid-season finale.
