WWE Monday Night Raw Preview & Spoilers for Dec. 9, 2013: John Cena Prepares for Randy Orton With TLC Just Days Away, more
The year-end Slammy Awards will be given out tonight on Monday Night Raw with various guests - such as Brett Hart and Shawn Miachels - set to make appearance to celebrate the year in WWE entertainment with WWE TLC 2013 just right around the corner. Fans will get the opportunity to decide the award winners, via the WWE app, with WWE Universe deciding on such awards as Superstar of the Year, Diva of the Year, and Match of the Year awards.
Wade Barrett has returned to the WWE after a long hiatus and has been a bearer of bad news of late, coming back to action as "Bad News" Barrett, barraging fans and WWE Superstars with disparaging remarks. How long before the former Intercontinental champion crosses the wrong person while delivering bad news to the world around him?
The Wyatts have made clear their intentions for Daniel Bryan - have him join their crazy clan or destroy him in the process. Bryan will have his hands full at TLC, forced to wrestle Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, Luke Harper in a 3-on-1 Handicap match at the pay-per-view, confronted with the choice of joining the buzzards or perishing at their hands. Will Bryan disappoint the WWE Universe and join The Wyatts, or will he fight against the odds and take them out at the risk of his career?
WWE Divas champion AJ Lee's war against the E! Total Divas is taking its toll on her, having now been pinned or submitting a couple of times against Natalya, who gets a shot at the title at TLC. The daughter of Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart would love to get her hands on the title and reign supreme over the WWE's Divas Division including her Total Divas stablemates, especially with the champion acting aloof during her current rut. Natalya still must be wary of AJ's bodyguard Tamina, but will the champion regain her killer instinct in time to defend her title?
CM Punk and The Shield are on a collision course this Sunday when Punk meets the "Hounds of Justice" in a 3-on-1 handicap match at TLC. The match was made after Punk accused Triple H and Stephanie McMahon of ordering The Shield to attack him two weeks ago after some disparaging statements Punk made towards Triple H. With Punk starting to butt heads with the Authority, it remains to be seen whether the longest reigning WWE Champion of the last quarter century can withstand the brutal onslaught of Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins Sunday in Houston.
Tensions are building between WWE Champion Randy Orton and World Heavyweight Champion John Cena as they head towards their Table, Ladders & Chairs match at TLC with both titles on the line in their unification main event bout. The Authority - who are not shy about interfering to do what is best for business - have been less than supportive of "the Apex Predator," after he challenged their perceived lack of support to his title reign. With The Shield and new WWE Director of Operations Kane by their side, The Authority will do whatever it takes for the right person to come out on top to see who will be "the Face of the WWE." Who will rise to the occassion as Orton and Cena prepare for their historic unification bout?
