Kanye West Speaks About Former President George W. Bush Again! Here’s What He Said
Now that Kanye West has an honorary doctorate from the Art Institute of Chicago, you'd think that he would learn to keep mum unless he's warranted an opinion, but as it happened, that is not the case.
The Blaze noted that the rapper, who famously accused former President George W. Bush of not caring about the black people in the country, has spoken up again, although this time, it doesn't seem accusatory. In fact, it almost sounded like a praise.
While speaking to the graduating class, he said, "George Bush... Has some very cool self-portraits." he also noted, "I didn't know he was an artist."
Before that, Time Magazine said that he was talking about using the word "sorry" and how it can be used a lot.
"'I'm sorry' is something that you can use a lot. It gives you opportunity to give your opinion, apologize for it, and give your opinion again. People say you should not be sorry for your opinions," he said.
This could be his own way of apologizing to the president for the comments that he made in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina hit the coast.
Photos of the rapper which are circulating online showed that he was somewhat nervous of speaking to an entire graduating class, an experience he shared when he told them, "The nerves of humility and modesty when being honored," he said. "A humanization, a reality of being recognized. And all I thought as I sit here, shaking a bit, is I need to get rid of that feeling."
ABC News reported that West used to attend Chicago's American Academy of Art, and Chicago State University, but later dropped out as he chose to focus on a career making music.
Considering that he is now a famous rapper, is living his dream, married to reality TV star Kim Kardashian and dad to North, a degree may not be too important to him. However, he seemed to be pretty pleased with himself in lieu of his new doctorate, with Kim also showing how proud she is of him by posting on her social networking sites a photo of West in his graduation garb, captioning it, with "Dr. Kanye West!!!!!!! I'm so proud of you baby & I know your mom would be so proud too!!!!"
West also thanked the institution for giving him such honor.
