Moto X 2015 3rd Generation Release Date Next Quarter? Top 5 Specs & Features of Motorola Flagship [Rumors]
Rumored to be out during the last quarter of the year, the Moto X 2015 3rd Generation is believed to be among the list of Motorola's big releases for mobile users.
Mobile fans are now anticipating the features that the new device may offer, especially since its predecessor was successful, having sold millions of units, Android Origin noted.
So what can the public expect from the upcoming Moto X 2015 3rd Generation? Below are some of the rumored and reported features of the device:
* Massive camera improvement
The next generation Moto X device will have a 16MP primary camera equipped with an Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) which aids to taking smooth photos, according to Android Origin. The OIS feature also helps stabilize the camera if the user's hands are shaking. The phone's camera has 120FPS video recording capacity and can also reportedly take slow-motion videos.
The camera phone could also possibly use a "Clear Pixel Technology" for its main shooter and the 5MP front-facing secondary camera, said Know Your Mobile.
* Display
As for display, Christian Today explained that it would be most likely for the device to maintain the 5.2-inch screen of its predecessor but will upgrade its resolution from 1080p to 1440p. The International Business Times (IBT) added that the Moto X 2015 3rd Generation will have a killer Quad HD or a 2K resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels.
"Notably, these display details translate to a pixel density of 565 ppi. Meanwhile, in comparison, the predecessor Moto X 2014 features the same display size, however, the screen resolution is 1,080 x 1,920 pixels," wrote IBT.
* Memory and processor
The upcoming phone release, as noted by Know Your Mobile, is believed to run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor with 4GB of RAM and options for 32GB or 64GB storage expansion.
* Battery
Users wanting to see an improved battery performance from a mobile device will be amused with the large 3,280 mAh battery of the upcoming phone which will give consumers enough backup for their everyday use, added Know Your Mobile.
* Design
VC Post said the next generation Moto X device will have a wood design on its back. Moto X became known to many people for its affordable price tag and customizations like real-wood backs, described GottaBeMobile.
Last year, the second generation was released but users said there were no major changes on the device except for "the 1080 HD, an aluminum ring for additional protection and the introduction of genuine leather back options," as per GottaBeMobile.
If rumors are true, in September, mobile fans will finally know if the new Motorola device will be way better than the current release.
