Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Sell New Orleans 5-Bedroom French Quarter Home - Photos & Price Details Here

The royal couple of Hollywood has called The Big Easy their home for quite some time as they try to actively involve themselves in the rebuilding of the community after it was ravaged by Hurricane Katrina back in 2005.

And concerns were raised straight away amid reports that the pair are now trying to ditch their New Orleans family home. Are they moving on and taking the helping hand they extended to the local people along with them?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, according to some real estate sources of TMZ,  have listed their French Quarter home at an asking price of $6.5 million. The good news, they are there to stay.

In a statement sent to NOLA.com Wednesday night, Cynthia Pett-Dante of Brillstein Entertainment Partners (the company that manages Brad Pitt) confirmed the sale and nipped in the bud all speculations.

"Yes they are letting go of this property and will look for something more off the beaten path down the road. In the meantime, they remain committed to, and infatuated as ever with the city of New Orleans, and will continue to focus on growth in the lower 9th through the Make It Right Foundation," she said.

NOLA followed up with another e-mail to clarify what was meant by "something more off the beaten path" but has yet to receive a response as of this writing.

The traditional-style row house, which was built in the 1930's, has five beds and three full baths (with two half-baths). It is situated on a 5,920 square feet of lot, and features "a front balcony, arch-topped French doors, flower boxes and dormer windows," as told by the LA Times.

The couple acquired the property in 2006, a year after the strong hurricane hit the city, for $3.5 million.

The interior of the house is highlighted by its Venetian plastered walls and a grand spiral staircase. The home is also equipped with an elevator for easy access of the three-story structure.

Other details of the house include custom-designed marble mantles and fireplaces, crown moldings, chef's gourmet kitchen with top of the line appliances, and laundry room, as noted in its listing posted by Latter & Blum's French Quarter office, the NOLA also reports.

Outside the exquisitely-designed home, there are also a two-story guest house with one bed and 1.5 bath, a spacious patio where a swimming pool can be found, and a parking garage with provision for two cars.
