Britney Spears Slips on Vegas Stage Concert! Find Out What Happened After
Oops! She did it again. It's another concert stage fall for the Princess of Pop.
Britney Spears was in the middle of performing "(You Drive Me) Crazy" when she suffered what looked like a sprain after badly landing with her left ankle, as told in one of the articles at E! Online.
She was jumping up and down when she twisted her ankle and slipped onto the floor. The 33-year-old singer held on to the ankle and was not able to get up right away. She went on to singing, and was later given a hand by the backup dancers to help her get back on her feet.
Britney was quick to address her fans via Twitter that she was doing fine amidst the injury.
Back in 2009, the American singer also suffered another slip on the stage while performing during her concert in Japan.
"Showing us once again that exercise really isn't her strong suit, Britney Spears eats it on stage while doing jumping jacks during a show in Japan," writes Ranker.com when they put Britney's stage fall more than five years ago at no. 20 on their list of "The 32 Greatest On-Stage Falls of All Time."
Topping the list is no other than, drum roll please... Britney Spears herself with her latest onstage mishap.
Britney recently moved back to her old place at the Palazzo Suite of Rio in Las Vegas. The singer is currently in the city for her ongoing "Piece of Me" residency where she has been performing for a string of shows at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.
According to E! Online, Britney started performing for sold-out crowds since December of 2013. She will finish her Las Vegas residency later this year. She is under contract for two years and will earn $15 million per year, or about $310,000 per show, as reported by Billboard.
When Britney took over the luxury Palazzo Suite on a Wednesday morning, the "sheets were still warm," wrote TMZ, because another singer extraordinaire, in the person of Sir Elton John, was at the place and had just vacated the place the night before.
The "Lucky" and "Stronger" singer also got some attention from the media lately when she was reportedly heard referring to someone from the crowd as a "F**king a**hole" during one of her Planet Hollywood shows. Britney, as it turned out, only fired back because the fan called her a "fat b*tch," the DailyMail reports. The incident was caught in a video clip which was posted on social media by one fan.
