Rapper 50 Cent claimed that he is earning a big sum of money for the upcoming and most awaited fight of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao on May 2 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
TMZ reported source accounts that the rapper will earn about half-a-million bucks on Friday "for throwing down rhymes at Drai's." City Never Sleeps said 50 Cent will be hosting a Mayweather-Pacquiao Fight Weekend Party at the Drai's Nightclub in Las Vegas with tickets being sold from $20 to $40 each.
"Drai's rooftop oasis is redefining the Vegas entertainment experience and is the perfect venue for 50 Cent Mayweather Pacquiao Fight Weekend Pary. The crowning jewel of The Cromwell hotel, Drai's Nightclub provides an unrivaled view encompassing the entire Strip and beyond. Designed by lifetime industry professionals from the most revered venues in the world, every aspect has been considered, studied, and engineered to encompass originality," read the description of the party on City Never Sleeps.
The 65,000-square-feet venue can reportedly accommodate 2,500 guests.
FTN News added that there will also be performances from other artists on the club like Chris Brown on Saturday, May 2, and Busta Rhymes on Sunday, May 3.
"This will be one of the most memorable weekends in Las Vegas history. Not only is the big fight going to draw international attention to the Strip, but the performers we have coming into Drai's Nightclub throughout the entire weekend promise to deliver a live concert experience that will be unmatched in the city," CEO and Partner of Drai's Enterprises Michael Gruber said in the FTN News report.
50 Cent is said to be the first performer on May 1 with him being "one of the most decorated rappers in the game."
"50 Cent is a Grammy Award winner, 13-time Billboard Music Award winner, six-time World Music Award winner and four-time BET Award champion - just to name a few. With a handful of albums under his belt, fans can expect his upcoming concert at Drai's Nightclub to be an energetic mix of old and new chart toppers," noted FTN News.
A similar TimesLive report added that the hiphop star has also negotiated a deal with Effen Vodka and will reportedly earn another $500,000 for a performance at a Pool After Dark party in Atlantic City in late May. The same article added that 50 Cent previously bet $1.6 million on Mayweather defeating Pacquiao on their upcoming fight.
"Champ (is) gonna smoke him. It's gonna look like it was pumped up for no reason," the rapper said of his forecast of the fight.
