Scottie Pippen's Daughter Reportedly Arrested for Urinating in Hotel Lobby
The 20-year-old daughter of Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen was reportedly taken into police custody on Sunday morning after she allegedly urinated in a lobby of a hotel in Iowa.
Sierra Pippen has been charged with public intoxication and public urination when she walked into the Sheraton Inn lobby and peed on the floor before walking out from the place, the Huffington Post reported.
Apparently, Sierra already had trouble with the law earlier in the month as she was arrested at the same hotel because of intoxication. Sierra also got into a fight with the hotel security during her first arrest, according to Daily Mail. She admitted to being drunk with a breath test confirming that the alcohol content in her blood was 0.141 percent, Press-Citizen reported.
The hotel since is just a short distance away from the University of Iowa, where the 20-year-old goes to school for her undergraduate studies.
Second arrest
As noted on the Huffington Post, Pippen reportedly smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and was not able to balance herself. She was also observed to be wearing two bar wristbands despite her being underage.
She was then asked to undergo a sobriety test but she reportedly refused then accused the police officer of being racist. After she was charged, Pippen was taken to the Johnson County Jail where she briefly stayed then was released at about 10 a.m. after paying a $500-bond.
Iowa City Press Citizen reported that hotel general manager Jason Williams declined to comment on the incident but confirmed the urinating incident.
"I can confirm the authorities were contacted over the weekend due to an individual relieving herself in front of the hotel. The person was not a guest," Williams added.
The Smoking Gun said Sierra is the second oldest of the basketball legend's six children. The elder Pippen is a basketball Hall of Famer who is credited for winning six NBA championships when he was still with the Chicago Bulls playing alongside the great Michael Jordan. The Bulls retired his jersey number in 2005 then was inducted to the Hall of Fame five years later. Aside from this achievement, Smoking Gun said he is also a member of the U.S. Olympic team.
Sierra's Twitter page is a reflection of how she loves her father as her display picture shows an old photograph of her young self sitting on the lap of the basketball legend.
She also describes herself as someone more than the tag given to her by the public. "I'm More Than Scottie Pippen's daughter. I'm Me Sierra Pippen," she said on her Twitter description.
