Android 6.0 Milkshake Out in November? Major Features Expected! [Rumors]
Lollipop 5.0 has only been released recently, but it seems that Android is ready to replace it with a better kind of sweet ---- the Milkshake, perfect for the upcoming summer months... or in November, if rumors are to be believed.
Of course, Android users can now enjoy the new features of the Lollipop 5.0, including "Material Design," improved notifications, priority mode and more. However, as PC Advisor pointed out, that would not stop users from fantasizing about what's coming next.
Here are some things that we can expect from Android M, as noted by PC Advisor and the International Business Times:
Better Performance:
Although the Lollipop supports 64-bit and offers better performance than previous versions, users nor Google would not be willing to stop there, as modern devices are awesome, but as many could attest to, they are very heavy on the performance, which compromises battery life. Although Android L already started improvement via Project Volta, there can be more improvement on that front.
Improved Security
The Lollipop has a new Device Protection that ensures stolen or missing phones will remain locked until the user signs in with his Google account. However, this can still be improved, for instance, with a killswitch that can bring down theft rates, as it did in the U.S.
Built-In Automobile Support
After Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) came with CarPlay support for automobiles, it was xpected that Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) will follow up with their plans as well, and it seems that the company delivered with the Android Auto. As far as improvements go, it's possible to have the support built directly into cars, eliminating the need for accessory devices, and fans hope that this could happen soon with the M.
More Effective Notifications Panel
Most people have more than one gadget nowadays: PC, laptop, tab, smartphone --- you name it. However, it's kind of annoying that you have to dismiss the notifications again and again on every gadget, even though you've already seen it. A better panel will dismiss notifications once it's seen from one device or another. More effective, don't you think?
More Strict Parental Controls
Even children are very well-versed with gadget use nowadays, and unlike the iOS, the Android allows you to have multiple accounts of the same device, which is great as it helps restrict children's accounts. However, this is not enough ---- time limit and automatic shut-off access will work wonders insofar as child-rearing is concerned.
What else do you want to see on Android M?
