'Gran Turismo 7' PS4 Release Date News & Rumors: Why Game is Possibly Delayed
The upcoming release of "Gran Turismo 7," which was earlier anticipated this year or next year, could be further delayed.
BreatheCast said that fans of the Gran Turismo game have been wanting to see the improvement in its graphics and gameplay, however, they may need to wait a little longer as the outlet claimed that the game may be out in the market in 2017 because the developer is still "in the process of making the title."
This information should be taken with a pinch of salt as the company behind the game has not yet confirmed this rumor.
The only thing that's been verified so far, which is not related to the game at all, is the arrival of the new Maserati GranTurismo in 2017.
'Gran Turismo 7' reported features
The release of the new game promises improved graphics and audio quality for PS4 but noted that the old cars will be retained with an addition of some premium cars, as per series creator and Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi.
"I doubt we'll be throwing away the standard cars. Each car has its own fans. So I think we'll hang on to the archive. In the meanwhile, some of those cars we may be able to make into premium cars as they become available - but basically we're more focused on increasing the number of premium cars," Yamauchi told Eurogamer in June 2014.
GT Planet added that the gamers are also looking forward to the GPS Track Maker offering of the game which has been included in Beta Testing since 2014.
Federation Internationale de l'Automobile Head of Safety Jacques Berger was reportedly very amazed with the track maker's accuracy.
"It was not just the tracks that have been precisely mapped out, but also the surrounding landscapes such as the run-off areas, grandstands and buildings," Berger said, as noted on The PlayStation blog.
A similar MasterHerald report said that the upcoming release of the game "is supposedly going to breathe some fresh life into the series" since it will introduce changes sought for a long time already.
One of the changes noted in the said report is the improvement of the performance of the game.
"For a title as competitive as 'Gran Turismo,' it's critical that it runs well on supported hardware, and manages to offer a smooth playing experience while showing its pretty graphics," MasterHerald added.
It also expects the game to offer stunning graphics to make sure that players will be able to enjoy the gameplay experience.
"The fact that the developers don't have to support a lot of hardware, and are working with the all-new development system of the PlayStation 4, means that they should be able to make it a solid title without any technical issues relatively easily," noted the MasterHerald report adding that the game should live up to the expectations of the players.
With another possible delay on its release, fans and gamers would really anticipate better offerings and developments for the game since its team will be given more time to incorporate what the public wants to further improve this new installment.
