Post-pregnancy bodies are always a touchy subject for first-time mothers, especially, if like Olivia Wilde, they're constantly under scrutiny from the media. However, the "House M.D." actress, who welcomed her first baby with fiancé Jason Sudeikis in April last year, shared her post-pregnancy experience, as noted by the Daily Mail.

In the cover story for the April issue of Shape Magazine, she shared about her post-baby body (and high school shenanigans), "I am not in perfect shape. In fact, I'm softer than I've ever been, including that unfortunate semester in high school when I simultaneously discovered Krispy Kreme and pot."

The actress, who looked great in a series of images for the magazine cover in her black balconette bralet and pencil skirt, assured that her trim physique is not without help. She shared, "The photos of me in this magazine have been generously constructed to show my best angles, and I assure you, good lighting has been warmly embraced. The truth is, I'm a mother, and I look like one."

It's not only her current "softer" body that she liked though. She also shared that she's one of those who loved her curves during pregnancy, admitting that she loved being pregnant because she "felt unapologetically curvy, sexy, and intensely feminine."

However, like many who go through having a child, it took a while for her to feel herself again. She shared how she got back to her post-pregnancy body so quickly: "Breastfeeding helps in the most intense way."

But of course, considering that she admitted to liking her calories (pointing out that she loves beer and pizza) so she does pilates and SoulCycle and 2Fly dance exercises to keep herself fit, and she had one piece of advice for anyone who wants to accomplish their ideal weight: "Listen, baby or no baby, getting out of the house to exercise is a serious achievement. If you're going to haul your behind to a class, it's not going to be for anyone else; not your partner, nemesis, mother, or tabloid bloggers-just you."

She went on, "I believe in a world where mothers are not expected to shed any physical evidence of their child-bearing experience. In that same world I believe there is space for exercise to be as much a gift to your brain as it is your body. I don't want to waste my time striving for some subjective definition of perfection. I'd rather rebuild my strength while dancing my ass off...literally."
