Mutli-award winning singer and fashion icon Kylie Minogue is one of the main highlights of the 20th Dubai World Cup on March 28 at Meydan.
Minogue will reportedly perform her top hits for 90 minutes in the event dubbed as the "world's richest day of horse racing." Gulf News detailed that her performance will start at 10 p.m. after the 15-minute presentation of the race.
CNN said the prize money for this event totals to $30 million for various races with a top prize of $10 m in the Dubai World Cup race.
Aside from the prizes at stake, brands such as Longines and Jaguar will also be sponsoring two races in the competition and awarding the "Best Dressed Lady" and "Most Elegant Lady" of the night. The prizes for these awards, according to CNN, are a 42 diamond studded watch and a Jaguar F-TYPE Coupé.
Minogue will certainly be paid well considering the prizes being offered in the competition as the public knows that she is worth millions of dollars already following her fame in the music industry.
"Growing up in Melbourne, horse racing is a major and exciting part of our annual calendar. So to be able to bring my show to the Dubai World Cup is something I'm very much looking forward to," she was quoted by CNN as saying.
According to Gulf News, Minogue has already performed in Abu Dhabi in an after-race concert in 2012 and held her KylieX2008 concert in Dubai in 2008.
Minogue is currently on tour across Europe and Australia and she has received nothing but praises from her fans who have been patronizing her music for about three decades already.
She is still one of the biggest and most recognized names in the music industry with her selling 70 million records. Her fans adore her for her musical talent and she has been doing tours to meet her fans all around the world.
The singer is not only a very successful person in the music industry but she is also a cancer survivor. At 36, Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer which prompted the cancellation of her Showgirl -The Greatest Hits Tour, Gulf News noted. After battling and overcoming cancer, Minogue has since advocated for cancer awareness and she also launched a charity organization focused on researching about cancer which she called One Note Against Cancer.
"I've always been compassionate, but to have compassion and a first-hand experience of something like that ... it makes you a very different person. I just wish you could jump-cut to that without the experience," she said, as quoted by Gulf News.
