'J-Stars Victory VS+' PS4 PS3 PS Vita Release Date, Gameplay & Trailer: New Site Teasers Out!

By Staff| Mar 12, 2015

A cornucopia of iconic Japanese characters is coming soon.

Late in 2014, publisher Bandai Namco Games America has confirmed the arrival of "J-Stars Victory VS+" to Western regions, IGN reported.

The multi-hero, cross-over fighting video game is scheduled for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita this summer, which translates to only few more months of wait.

On Tuesday, the title's official U.S. website has began streaming a "Dragon Ball Z" and two gameplay trailers, Anime News Network wrote. The battles pit Tatsumi Oga (and Beelzebub) vs Chinyuki and Arale Norimaki vs Luckyman.

The game's Western version is said to be different from its Japanese counterpart in some ways. For one, it includes an additional "Arcade Mode," KpopStarz noted. Such is described to be "in the same vein as every fighting game."

The source also cited the "J Adventure Mode," where players recruit other characters as they journey on a ship around "Jump World." Adventures and power-ups come in as they take voyage.

Among other inclusions are a Victory Road campaign, Free Battle, Online Mode (2v2) and Gallery Mode.
