'GTA 5’ Online Heists PS4 Xbox One Release Date: Rockstar Drops New Gameplay Clip [Watch]
The 2013 launch of "Grand Theft Auto 5" on PS3 and Xbox 360 was perfection - many gamers seem to have thought so. However, some also felt that Rockstar Games could have added heists for the multiplayer mode, "Grand Theft Auto Online," as it worked very well with the single player mode.
Rockstar Games listened to the plea and "GTA Online" will get a big update this week - on March 10, specifically - as the Online Heists feature will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, and PS3, and according to Express UK, will include all new missions for the players.
The website noted that the Heist will need a rank 12 and higher Leader, own a high-end apartment with a planning board in order to coordinate their crimes. Heist leaders will also have to cough up costs up-front; however, they will have complete control over the team roles and decide the final cut each crew member can take.
Screen Rant noted that Rockstar Games is definitely ready for the update, as they have already released the heist patch a few days early for Xbox 360 and Xbox One earlier than the expected March 10 release.
According to GameRanx, the premature release also revealed new vehicles, including the Lamapadati Casco, which was found on the GTA site code last January. It also has a 1.2 GB update on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, expanding the game to 4.8 from its original 4.2GB.
A list of achievements has also been released: DLC Heists, Shot Caller 10, Four Way 10, Live a Little 50, Can't Touch This 30, Mastermind 50, Be Prepared 10, In the Name of Science 30, Dead Presidents 30, and Parole Day 30.
Rockstar also released a new video detailing how the armed robberies could work, helping the players along to getting their job done. The footage is very short, however, Lester (from the single player mode) talks players through their scenarios, explaining in detail how there is a need for crowd control, money loot, and hightail preparation in case the cops show up early.
It has also been noted that heists will consist only of four player-teams, which is reasonable for organization purposes and for ensuring that each of them has a part. However, firepower may not be enough if it takes them too long to get out and police shows up, which is why in a different video, Rockstar emphasized on the importance of teamwork.
