Cristiano Ronaldo Transfer To Manchester United 2013 News Update: Superstar Wants 32 Million Pounds Per Year From Real Madrid To Avoid Transfer?
Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wants to remain with Real Madrid. However, recent reports indicate that his maintaining status quo comes with a huge price.
According to UK publication The Sun, the Portuguese superstar wants to be paid 32 million pounds per year in order to remain with his current side. The publication notes that Ronaldo wants an annual wage of 17 million pounds from Madrid, approximately 345,000 pounds per week. Additionally, he also wants "100 per cent of his image rights contract from the club;" the publication notes that said value adds up to about 15 million pounds per year.
Ronaldo recently told reporters that he was hoping that he could reach a deal with Real Madrid. "I am well, calm and not worried about it. I know we will reach a deal," said the Real Madrid superstar.
If Ronaldo is making these kinds of demands, they are the result of the clubs president Florentino Perez repeatedly stating that he would do anything to keep the forward in Spain's capital.
"There are no open negotiations at the moment, that will be from July. My opinion is that Cristiano will retire at Real Madrid, that is his dream, and the club's too. Some people think that negotiations are done in the newspapers," said Perez. "I will do everything in my power to renew the contract. He has two years left on his contract, he is the best in the world and we would like to give a boost to the team with him as a leader and an emblem. I would not sell him for 1,000 million euros (1 billion Euros). We are not a selling club."
Manchester United has been a rumored destination for the superstar. However, the English side would be unable to match such a gigantic offer from the Spanish giants.
