UFC 184 Ronda Rousey 14 Seconds Video Replay: Next Fight vs Justino After Movie?
After her 14-second victory against Cat Zingano at UFC 184, Ronda Rousey is set to stun the movie industry as UFC President Dana White announced that she will be filming a new flick, perhaps, before she returns to the Octagon to face Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino, according to reports.
The UFC female bantamweight champion who has roles in movies like the "The Expendables 3", the upcoming "Furious 7" and "Entourage" movie is said to be getting another "action star role", noted Fansided.
The same report said Rowdy seems to be wasting no time in getting her career started as she has expressed interest in appearing in various movies already and her fans seem to be very supportive of this move in her career.
"We had a deal that she was going to go do a movie after this fight. So when she's done with her movie, we will talk," White was quoted by the International Business Times (IBT) as saying.
With this considered, it seems like doing a movie is Rousey's way of taking a break from fighting and when she comes back, she returns stronger and ready to fight again.
The IBT said that after working on the film, Rousey will definitely be prepped up for a "tough matchup."
This tough matchup is said to be with Justino, who also fought the same night Rousey defeated Zingano, according to Sports Illustrated. Being in the main fight card of the Invicta FC, Justino also claimed a fast 46-second victory at the Shrine Auditorium.
Sports Illustrated, however, discussed that to make the fight happen, Cyborg should level with Rowdy at 135 pounds as she is the champion of her division and the contender has 10 pounds to lose.
The 29-year-old Brazil native has expressed her willingness to shed extra pounds just to make the anticipated fight happen as it is considered one of the biggest in the sport just like Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao's boxing megafight which is scheduled on May 2, at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
"We're working hand-in-hand with the UFC," said Justino's manager George Prajin in the Sports Illustrated report. He added that there is still a plan for Cyborg to fight for Invicta this coming July 10, and after that, she will work to make the 135 cut for another fight. If both camps will be able to agree on the details of the fight, a clash between Rousey and Justino might happen by the end of the year.
