Motorola Smartphones 2015: MWC Dark Horse? Moto E 2G, Moto G 3G, Moto X 3G & New Phablet Expected
As we approach the much-awaited Mobile World Congress, it isn't surprising to find more information on rumored devices sprouting from every inch of the web.
For a fact, we know that Samsung has something up its sleeve, and so does HTC. Though Sony Xperia Z4 and LG G4's appearance are still doubted, we opt to attract the positive pole. The more the merrier, don't you think?
Well, the merrier it is for Motorola, at least according to recent reports. As told by Stuff, the company has confirmed that "an exciting announcement" is due on Wednesday, Feb. 25 -- days before the MWC.
According to Stuff, Motorola's press note suggested a mystery box where "everything you need fits inside [it]." The outlet is convinced that "a revamped Moto E" or "an upgraded version of the second-gen Moto G" could be coming.
Let's take a look on what could come out from this box:
Moto E 2G
For brevity purposes, Stuff seemed to refer to the second-generation Moto E, which has since been speculated to arrive this year.
From Realty Today's earlier report, the new Moto E is purported to have a 4.5-inch QHD display, Corning Gorilla glass screen, 5 MP rear camera, front camera (megapixel unspecified), quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, and support for 4G LTE, microSD and Android 5.0 Lollipop support.
Moto G 3G
An "upgraded" second-generation Moto G could only appear to be the brand's third, and it's purported to have a 5-inch 720p screen, Snapdragon 400 processor, 16 GB storage, microSD support, 8 MP main camera, 2 MP front snapper, 4G LTE support, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 2390 mAh battery and Android 5.0 Lollipop support.
Moto X 3G
From an earlier article, TechnoBuffalo cited a new Moto X set to arrive in 2015. Following Motorola's order of things, it pegs to be the third-generation Moto X.
Phone Arena said that the device is expected to arrive in September, but Christian Today wrote that it may make its presence known on Feb. 25.
Nexus 6-Like, Droid Phablet
The last potential on our list is a Droid-version of the Nexus 6. As told by Digital Trends, the device will likely bring specs packed by the original handset.
The new Droid phablet is speculated to have the similar 5.9-inch QHD display, 2560 x 1440 resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 4000mAh battery and Android 5.0 Lollipop support.
For those who may not know, the Mobile World Congress happens on Mar. 2 - 5 in Barcelona, Spain. Today's loudest rumors are centered on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9, including all their alleged variants.
