Brazil vs. France - International Friendly June 9, 2013: Live Stream, TV Info, Preview, Predictions
Neymar will get another chance to prove his worth when Brazil takes on France in another warm up for the Confederations Cup on Sunday.
Prior to recent friendly match with England, the confident 21-year old stated that he did not view the Three Lions as threat to his country's World Cup hopes.
"I have respect for a lot of the England players as they have achieved great things at their clubs," Neymar stated in an interview with The Sun. "But, as a national team, I don't look at England and think they are going to be a real threat at the World Cup."
He added, "We want to win the World Cup in front of our home fans and the two nations I look at as a real threat are Germany and Spain. After that it's a group including Argentina, Holland, Italy and one or two more. But England I don't even think about."
Neymar was forced to eat his words days later when England pushed Brazil to the limit in a 2-2 draw. The English held a late 2-1 lead but Brazil's Paulinho managed a late goal to earn a respectable draw. However, Neymar was shut out during the match and was held without a goal. The youngster has been criticized for his poor performance for the national side and he will need to breathe more confidence into the fan base with a standout performance against France on Sunday.
The French lost 1-0 in their recent friendly against Uruguay. The team did not start the majority of its top players including Franck Ribery, Yohan Cabaye, Karim Benzema, and Hugo Lloris among others.
Prediction: Brazil wins 2-1.
