'Terminator 5 Genisys' 2015 Cast, Plot & News: Time Travel & Other Spoilers - What to Expect
The upcoming film "Terminator 5 Genisys" has already built buzz all over the web but here are the main points about the movie.
According to Collider, new fans are welcome to watch it without stressing out on finding the history of the characters. The sequel, though it took years to be remade, was reported to have a relation to the entire franchise, but it will feature new plot as well.
Collider spoke with actor Jai Courtney who said that the film will basically be a "reset" and noted that he himself has not seen the previous films as well. He also added that he could not reveal much details on the film but there is a big possibility of stars reprising their original roles in the film.
"I think it's going to be really cool what they've done with it. It's curious, I've been thinking a lot about how we actually frame-people want to know if it's a sequel or a reboot," said Courtney.
He also added: "A word that kind of came to be is that it's more of a 'reset.' That's the awesome thing about when you play with time travel. We can kind of get away with, you know, maybe we're introduced to a world that audiences know but circumstances can change and that shifts the course of everything."
He was also asked if it would be necessary for the viewers to review James Cameron's previous works. In response he said: "I don't' think it's either or. I think it's, if they wanted to [watch the first two films] they could but I don't think that if they hadn't they'll see our film and be completely lost."
As for the new story plot, critics have already reviewed it and gave it two thumbs up, according to Screenrant.
Because of the leaked Spoiler-Free script reviews, critics are turning their attention to the upcoming movie. The script, written by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier, is said to be "three action packed movies in one," Greg from ArnoldFans said.
He revealed that the movie timeline was set at 1984. The film would run for about 2 hours with about 130 pages of script. He also said that the breakdown will be, "20 minutes Future Wars, 40 minutes 1984 and 1 hour for (*date removed for spoiler) portion of the movie."
Aside from Courtney, the other cast members include Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke and Arnold Schwarzenegger. "Terminator 5: Genysis" will premiere in July 2015, according to Enstarz.
